Lily
2000
Lily, an installation made with 100's of fresh white lily's that filled the ticket office at Aldwych Tube station, as part of the exhibition, Subway Special a Democratic Republic 2000.
The piece had a strong scent, fortunately as the weather was cold, it lasted for almost 1 month before disintigrating.
The other title for Lily was, Where Are You? as it was a memento to my mother, Peggy, who had recently died and I missed profoundly.
Subway Special a Democratic Republic was part of Transport for London's Platform for Art program, which partnered with Wimbledon School of Art on community art projects.
