Shakespeare Quilt
2015
This quilt map references Shakespeare’s travels, both real and imagined. It's a mind map/quilt of his life and imagination.
This work is part of a series of quilts made in honour of people who have shaped history in significant ways. Each quilt contains maps and banknotes that feature the person and reference their life's journey.
Shakespeare Quilt was in the exhibition SEA-MARKINGS (2015) in the RSC's galleries and front of theatre atrium spaces along with drawings, Sail Painting, Embroidered Handkerchiefs and a version of Sail Away.
'Shakespeare Quilt' is held in the RSC's Art Collection.
